Allergy is a disorder of the immune system often also referred to as atopy.

Immunology is a broad branch of biomedical science that covers the study of all aspects of the immune system in all organisms. Malfunctions of the immune system include autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivities, immune deficiency, and transplant rejection.

Allergy Immunology Adult
The study of the way the immune system works in an adult's body, including allergies, resistance to disease, and acceptance or rejection of foreign tissue. Physicians practicing in this field of medicine are called Allergists and Immunologists.

Allergy Immunology Pediatrics
The study of the way the immune system works in a child's body, including allergies, resistance to disease, and acceptance or rejection of foreign tissue. Physicians practicing in this field of medicine are called Pediatric Allergists and Pediatric Immunologists.
